The Suspect in a shooting at a Greenville County bar has now been arrested. As we previously reported, Eight people suffered non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting outside the Upstate Hookah Bar on Halton Road on June 7th.
This past Friday, members of the Greenville County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Team, along with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office, arrested 22-year-old Va'Deljima Roy Smoot.
He is charged with one count of attempted murder, seven counts of first-degree assault and multiple weapons violations. Investigators say, a verbal altercation inside the bar led to a physical fight outside.
They say Smoot then fired multiple rounds, striking eight people, although investigators believe there was only one intended target. Smoot has initially been denied bond and is being held in at the Greenville County Detention Center.
