The Greenville County Sheriff's Office has announced the arrest of a suspect in connection with an early morning murder. As we previously reported, Deputies responded to gunshots fired near Saluda Dam Road, near the Parker Community of Greenville say just before 2:30AM, Thursday.
Investigators say evidence found during that traffic stop linked the occupants to the shooting. Detectives later discovered the body of Joselito Billy Leopard Rivera outside a business on Saluda Dam Road.
Authorities say 20-year-old James Emanuel Waiters the Third shot Rivera following an altercation while they were riding in the same vehicle. Waiters is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. According to arrests records a temporary bond had been set.
