An Asheville man has been sentenced to a decade in prison on drug and gun charges. Officials say 24 year old, Nazae Dion Maeweather has been sentenced for distribution of fentanyl and meth and weapons violations.
Court records show that last year, Maeweather sold guns and drugs to an undercover agent over the course of several months. The undercover reportedly bought more than half a pound of fentanyl, two ounces of meth and two guns during that stretch.
A search of Maeweather's vehicle later uncovered nearly 3 ounces of fentanyl, half an ounce of cocaine and just over a 1000 dollars in cash. He has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison, there's no parole or early release in the federal system.
