It was announced a few days ago that the Major League Baseball season will probably not start until mid-May or even later depending on the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The announcement came after the CDC recommended no crowds or gatherings over 50 people for eight weeks.

The news, unfortunately, meant all ballpark employees around the country would be out of jobs for the foreseeable future.

The MLB really cares about the people that come together every home game to make sure the ballpark is clean, all patrons are being served, and all guests are attended to politely.

Commissioner Rob Manfred issued a statement yesterday (3/17) that all teams will donate $1 million dollars to help all those employees that make the baseball stadium experience one of a kind.

He also said he was so glad each club came together quickly and uniformly to help the individuals that are affected by the season delay, and each organization will announce at a later date how they are personally distributing the money.

As of right now, neither the Cubs or White Sox revealed their plans for the donation that is to help all employees, hopefully that will come later this week.
