While growing up Kristen Tomlan, like most kids, used to love eating the cookie dough as she was baking, but her mom would always warn her about the negatives of the raw food.

After college, Tomlan decided it was time for someone to create safe-to-eat cookie dough for all to enjoy. After experimenting a few times, she came up with the perfect edible recipe!

The secret is that she uses pasteurized eggs and heat-treated flour, unlike other cookie doughs that use raw products. 

She definitely found the key ingredients because when she opened her first brick and mortar store in New York City the line was over 4 hours long to taste the delicious treat! People could not get enough of the tasty cookie dough!

There are over 20 flavors for patrons to choose from including some vegan and gluten-free options as well.

Tomlan's company has grown tremendously since her first store opening and her executive staff is made up of all females. She cannot believe how quickly her idea took off and she is incredibly grateful for all the company's success.

She is currently on tour promoting her brand new recipe book Hello, Cookie Dough and has made stops at both The Today Show and Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen!
