Ben Zobrist is more than just a great baseball player, he's an even better person.

Over the weekend he was scheduled to make an appearance and sign a few autographs at Bricks and Ivy Sports in Hoopeston, Illinois, but unfortunately, his flight out of Nashville was canceled.

Zobrist was worried to book another flight in case that was to be canceled too, so he hopped in his car and began the 350-mile drive from his house in Franklin, Tennessee to Illinois.

He spent the night in Indiana before finishing the trip and making it to the store at noon for his event.

Co-owner of the sports shop, Emily Brown, said she was surprised Zobrist elected to get into his car to make it instead of just canceling as most athletes would do, but he does not compare to other athletes.

The event was supposed to end at 1:30 pm, but Zobrist ended up staying an extra hour because over 800 people showed up to meet him. He not only shook everyone's hands, but made conversations, and signed all the Cubs memorabilia he could.

He would not let the sleet and snow stop him from meeting fans and making memories. #GoodVibes
