CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - The Downtown Old Navy flagship store is closing for good at the end of business today, according to a company spokesperson.
Following a company review of the site, the Old Navy on State near Randolph will shutdown operations permanently. The clothing retailer has been at the location since 2012, moving from State and Washington. They took over the building once home to a Borders bookstore. As of now, there no plans for the building.
It is unknown if Old Navy will have another flagship store in the city. They will still have a presence in Chicago- with stores remaining in the South Loop, Near North Side, and Lincoln Park.
The Old Navy Chicago flagship will open its doors at 10 a.m. and will remain open until 8 p.m.
