
CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago police are investigating a shooting on the Southwest Side early Tuesday morning that left a man in critical condition.
Police said this happened overnight in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood. A 57-year-old man was driving near 59th and Troy when someone pulled up in a car next to him and started shooting.
The driver was shot in the head then crashed his car into an accountant's office. The building's front window was smashed. There's also damage to a brick wall.
The driver was taken to the hospital in critical condition, police said. There was also a 24-year-old man in the passenger seat. He was not shot but was taken to a hospital for an evaluation.
The shooter fled the scene. No one is in custody.
