CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - The Cook County Sheriff’s Office arrested a convicted felon this week with a history of drug and gun offenses for more drug and gun offenses.

The Sheriff’s Office said 35-year-old Charles Douglas was on electronic monitoring for a drug and gun case. Deputies were doing a compliance check where he lives in the West Lawndale neighborhood.

They said they found an AR-style Ghost Gun, ammunition and narcotics, including a kilo of cocaine, 140 grams of heroin, 25 grams of Carfentanil, and 119 grams of an opioid mixture known as "Grey Death,”  which, the Sheriff’s Office said, is considered 100 times more potent than fentanyl. The name comes from the appearance of the mixture, it looks like concrete mix.

The sheriff’s office said the deputies also found about $12,000 in cash, the same amount Douglas had to post to get out of jail in July.

Douglas, who has multiple previous drug and gun convictions, was taken back to jail.
