CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A Rogers Park staple returned Sunday: The Glenwood Sunday Market, which opened for its 14th consecutive season on Chicago’s North Side.
The market will be open every Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., on the southbound side of Glenwood Avenue, between Morse and Lunt Avenues — just west of the CTA’s Morse Red Line stop
In 2022, the market said they served 34,000 shoppers and gave away $41,000 in double-dollar matching grants to food insecure shoppers.
Officials with the Glenwood Sunday Market said they’ll offer “fresh, seasonal produce, protein, artisan food, cheese, [baked goods], cut flowers and more.” The market features products from 23 local farmers and vendors.
State Rep. Kelly Cassidy, Ald. Maria Hadden (49th) and Rogers Park Business Alliance Executive Director Sandi Price were present on Sunday to cut the ribbon for the market’s opening.
The market accepts SNAP and LINK cards.
It will remain open through Oct. 29, 2023.
