CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Eight months after being arrested, a Northwest Side woman is set to appear in court today for the alleged murder of her landlord.

Last October, 36-year-old Sandra Kolalou was charged with the murder of her landlord, 69-year-old Frances Walker.

Police said she was first arrested for pulling a knife on a tow truck driver. She was reportedly followed by tenants in her building who saw Kolalou throwing away bloody rags in a garbage bag.

Prosecutors said police then searched Kolalou's home in Arcadia Terrace, where she was sharing a unit with Walker. Officers found Walker's head, arms, and legs stuffed in a shared kitchen freezer.

Kolalou's attorney said his client is innocent and wants to prove it as quickly as possible.
