Woman injured in extra-alarm Uptown fire

Six adults and a child were also displaced and the Red Cross responded, officials said.

A woman suffered smoke inhalation and was in good condition after a extra-alarm fire at an apartment complex in Uptown on the North Side early Tuesday.

Around 1:10 a.m., police and fire officials responded to the blaze in the 4900 block of North Glenwood Avenue, Chicago police said.

A woman was taken to the Illinois Masonic Medical Center for smoke inhalation and was in good condition, police said.

Six adults and a child were displaced and the Red Cross responded, officials said.

No other injuries were reported.
