
Coronavirus / COVID-19 concerns continue to grow. Here is a list of confirmed school and public event closings, and postponements in the metro Atlanta area that might have an effect on our communities.
List of closures:
- Bear Creek Middle School and Woodland Middle School are closed in Fulton County. Details
- Canton Waffle House - 1849 Marietta Highway in Canton closed for sanitation.
- CNN Studio Tours - Suspended until further notice.
- South Fulton Fire Station 15
- Arlington Christian School
- Living Science homeschool study center closed through March 12.
- Compass Prep Academy closed through March 17.
- Cobb County Schools closed starting Monday until further notice.
- Marietta City Schools closed starting Monday until further notice.
- Atlanta Public Schools closed starting Monday for two weeks (possibly longer)
- City Schools of Decatur will be closed indefinitely starting Friday, March 13, 2020.
- All University System of Georgia institutions will be closed for two weeks. Students on spring break are strongly encouraged not to return to campus.
- Fulton Country Schools and Admin offices closed starting Monday, March 16th until further notice
- DeKalb County School District will be closed starting Monday, March 16th until further notice
- Gwinnett County Schools will be closed starting Monday, March 16th until further notice.
- Rome City Schools will be closed starting Monday, March 16th until April 6.
- Clayton County Schools will be closed starting Monday March 16th until further notice.
- Cherokee County Schools and offices will be closed for two weeks starting March 16 through March 27, 2020.
- Douglas County Schools will close on Monday for two weeks.
- Gainesville City Schools will close next week.
- Hall County Schools will close for one week beginning Monday.
- Henry County Schools will close for at least 2 weeks starting Monday.
- Paulding County Schools will close Monday until further notice.
- Coweta County Schools will be closed immediately for two weeks.
- Barrow County Schools will be closed for two weeks starting on Monday.
- Bartow County School System will be closed March 16 - March 27
- Carroll County Schools will close Monday for two weeks.
- Clarke County Schools will close from March 16 - March 20
- Floyd County Schools will be closed through March 26.
- Forsyth County Schools will be closed through March 20.
- Greene County Schools will be closed for 3 weeks starting March 16.
- Habersham County Schools will be closed from March 16 - March 27
- Haralson County Schools will be closed March 16 - April 6.
- Heard County Schools will be closed March 16 - March 29.
- Jackson County Schools will be closed March 16 - March 30.
- Lumpkin County Schools will be closed March 16 for at least 1 week.
- Madison County Schools will be closed March 16 - March 30.
- Marietta City Schools closed for two weeks starting March 16.
- Oconee County Schools will be closed for two weeks starting March 16.
- Oglethorpe County Schools will be closed for two weeks starting March 16.
- Paulding County Schools will be closed March 16 - March 30
- Pickens County Schools will be closed March 16 - March 27.
- Pike County Schools will be closed March 16 - March 27.
- Rockdale County Public Schools will be closed on March 16 for two weeks.
- The Walker Schools closed until further notice.
- Thomaston-Upson Schools closed March 13 - March 17.
- Walton County School closed for two weeks starting March 16.
- White County School closed from March 16 - March 20.
