#SaveGeorgiaStages August 4th, Georgia Day of Action

Georgia Save The Stages
It's no surprise that COVID-19 has effected the music and entertainment industry the most. It was the most carefree place where you were surrounded by music, other creatives, and an overall community that appreciated music and entertainment as much as you. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has tainted our space due to the mass amount of people the venues could bring into one space. Being able to be so close, jumping, and screaming your favorite lyrics has become a thing of the past. But we must remain optimistic and know that COVID-19 won't last forever. We must be prepared for when the shift back into our respected space shows up with open arms. This is not only for concert-goers but for the workers as well. Many are passionate about the entertainment and production world and have worked for years to be apart of the business.
With so much at risk, especially jobs, we must band together to #SaveOurStages. The National Independent Venue Association has come together to preserve and nurture the ecosystem of independent live music venues and promoters throughout the United States. Tomorrow August 4th is the final push to Congress to #SaveOurStages.
"This campaign aims to support every person and local business that contributes to the live music ecosystem. We support The Restart Act, an act written to fund small businesses in any industry. We support the Save Our Stages Act, an act written to protect independent music venues' existence in the industry.. And we support the continuation of Federal Unemployment benefits, to provide necessities for our workforce until it is safe to work again."- NIVA
