AutoNSider Review | 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Elite 4X4

Wherever you take it…wherever you park it…wherever you tow it…Jeep’s Trailhawk Elite will fit right in.
Somewhat like an American-made Land Rover, Jeep’s Trailhawk package makes their two-row Cherokee one of the most versatile vehicles that Jeep sells.
Since we’re talking about a Jeep, let’s jump right into what makes Jeep’s Cherokee Trailhawk special.
It’s their Active Drive II system. This 4X4 system offers a low range for true rock crawling…as well as a disconnect for towing behind a motor home. And you get all the other necessary ingredients for serious off-roading, too…like a skid plate and off-road suspension and tires, front and rear tow-hooks, and a one-inch lift.
The Trailhawk is built to tackle some genuinely tough terrain.
But then there’s the interior. It’s attractive to the point that you almost hesitate to take the Trailhawk off-road.
With a few packages, we got premium heated and ventilated leather, heated steering, a hands-free tailgate, adjustable second row seating, Jeep’s hands-free and eyes-free UConnect 8.4, blind-spot, cross-traffic and parking alerts, and Apple and Android connectivity.
Power came from a 3.2 liter V6 running through a 9-speed transmission that’s rated at 18 MPG City and 24 Highway…and can two 2,000 pounds.
Starting prices for a Cherokee Trailhawk are in the mid $30’s…and ours…with almost everything available…stickered at $43,670. Not bad for a vehicle that can fill so many roles.
If you’re looking for a two-row, five-seat SUV that will look just as good at the club as it will forging it’s own trail, put Jeep’s Cherokee Trailhawk on your list.
