Eight Kaepernick Murals Replace 1 Destroyed Days Before Super Bowl
“I thought Atlanta, because of our civil rights history, would be a perfect place for him", says Atlanta muralist Fabian Williams. So he found eight places for former NFL Quarterback Colin Kaepernick.
His westside giant mural of Kaepernick was destroyed two days before the Super Bowl in Atlanta. So, on the day of the big game, Williams and other artists came together to spread the message that "Kaepernick is valuable, his symbol means something, and ya'll are going to see it everywhere."
Kaepernick said he started kneeling at NFL games in 2016, rather than stand for the National Anthem, because of his views on America's treatment of racial minorities.
