The Atlanta Braves are NL East champions once again.
The Braves officially clinched the 2026 National League East division title Sunday, defeating the Houston Astros 4-2 to complete a three-game sweep in Houston and secure another trip to October.
It’s Atlanta’s seventh NL East championship in the last nine seasons and the club’s first division title since 2023. The Braves have also secured their eighth postseason appearance in nine seasons after missing the playoffs in 2025.
The celebration began as soon as Dylan Dodd recorded the final out Sunday. Braves players poured onto the field before taking the celebration into the clubhouse, complete with champagne, championship gear and plenty of excitement about what’s ahead.
But the Braves aren’t finished yet.
Before postseason baseball begins, Braves Country has one more chance to see the team at Truist Park during the regular season.
Atlanta will host the Cincinnati Reds for a three-game series September 22-24, with all three games scheduled for 7:15 p.m. ET.
Tuesday, Sept. 22 — Reds vs. Braves, 7:15 p.m.
Wednesday, Sept. 23 — Reds vs. Braves, 7:15 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 24 — Reds vs. Braves, 7:15 p.m.
And despite already locking up the division, these aren’t meaningless games.
Atlanta’s postseason seed has not yet been finalized, meaning the remaining regular-season games can still help determine the Braves’ path through October.
Braves Country Has Plenty to Celebrate
Atlanta enters its final home series with a 92-64 record, sitting atop the NL East after a season that has put the Braves back in familiar territory.
The division-clinching victory was powered by Mike Yastrzemski, whose three-run homer in the sixth inning gave Atlanta the lead in Houston. Ozzie Albies also drove in a run before Dodd struck out the side in the ninth to officially start the celebration.
It’s also a significant turnaround from 2025, when Atlanta finished 76-86 and missed the postseason, snapping a seven-year playoff streak.
Now, October baseball is officially coming back to Braves Country.
What’s Happening During the Final Home Series?
The Braves have several promotions planned for their last three regular-season games at Truist Park.
Tuesday’s opener will include an Austin Riley short-sleeve hoodie giveaway for the first 15,000 fans, while Riley will also be recognized before the game as the Braves’ 2026 Roberto Clemente Award nominee.
Wednesday is Los Bravos Night, part of the team’s celebration of Hispanic and Latino culture and contributions to baseball.
The series concludes Thursday night before Atlanta hits the road to finish the regular season against the Miami Marlins.
Postseason Tickets Are Already Available
Fans don’t have to wait until the playoff bracket is finalized to start making October plans.
The Braves have already placed single-game tickets on sale for potential National League Wild Card, NL Division Series and NL Championship Series games at Truist Park.
For now, though, Braves Country gets three more nights at Truist Park to celebrate a division championship, and help send the team into October with the ballpark rocking.
