Earlier today on The Morning Shift, former Atlanta Falcons quarterback and now analyst for the Atlanta Falcons Radio Network Dave Archer joined The Morning Shift with Mike Johnson, Ali Mac, and Beau Morgan and explained why he thinks Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. will finally make his season debut and start for the team on Thursday against the Green Bay Packers for the first time since partially tearing his left ACL on November 16th last year against the Carolina Panthers.
“You need him on the field. I think the frustration level has risen to a certain extent with some of his teammates, not with him, but with the situation, and I would assume that you feel that as a quarterback, I know I would, I’m feeling it and I’m not even playing. It’s one of those situations where you can’t let your guys go into battle without you.” Archer said
If Michael Penix Jr. doesn’t play and Tua Tagovailoa still isn’t ready to come back from his oblique injury that would be very deflating for a Falcons team still searching for their first win of the season with their schedule only getting tougher, so it feels like this is a now or never moment for the Falcons former eighth overall pick.
