Homecoming season is almost here, and Georgia’s colleges and universities are getting ready to welcome alumni back to campus.
From the Atlanta University Center to Athens, Statesboro, Albany, Savannah and Fort Valley, September through November will be packed with football, tailgates, concerts, step shows, reunions and plenty of school pride.
Whether you’re headed back to your own alma mater or just trying to figure out which weekends you need to keep open, here’s your V-103 guide to 2026 homecoming season in Georgia.
SEPTEMBER 28 – OCTOBER 3: Georgia State University
Georgia State kicks off Homecoming Week September 28 through October 3 in Atlanta.
The week includes campus brunches, the Royal Court, a downtown Homecoming Parade, a Friday night Block Party and other events before the Panthers face Old Dominion on Saturday, October 3 at Center Parc Credit Union Stadium.

SEPTEMBER 28 – OCTOBER 3: University of Georgia
It’s Homecoming Week in Athens from September 28 through October 3.
UGA’s festivities include Bulldog Bash, a lip-sync battle, carnival, parade, NPHC Step Show and a Homecoming Concert headlined by Penelope Road. The week concludes with Georgia taking on Vanderbilt at Sanford Stadium on Saturday, October 3.

OCTOBER 3: Morris Brown College
Atlanta’s HBCU homecoming season gets started with Morris Brown College on October 3.
Morris Brown no longer fields a football team, so its homecoming looks different from many other schools, but the Wolverines still bring alumni back to Atlanta to celebrate the institution’s history and community.
OCTOBER 8–11: Spelman College
Spelman welcomes alumnae home October 8–11, putting it right in the middle of one of the biggest AUC weekends of the year.
Scheduled events include Homecoming Convocation, Market Friday, an alumnae welcome, a family-friendly tailgate experience and Sunday’s closing worship service at Sisters Chapel.

OCTOBER 10: Morehouse College / SpelHouse Homecoming Weekend
You already know Atlanta is going to be OUTSIDE for this one.
Morehouse celebrates Homecoming on Saturday, October 10, when the Maroon Tigers take on Savannah State on the Morehouse campus. The APEX Homecoming Tailgate begins at 10 a.m.
Combined with Spelman’s festivities next door, SpelHouse Homecoming remains one of the biggest weekends on Atlanta’s fall social calendar.
Morehouse says its complete schedule is still being announced, so keep an eye out for additional events and entertainment.

OCTOBER 10: Albany State University
The Golden Rams celebrate Homecoming October 10, with Albany State facing Lane College at 2 p.m. at the Albany State University Coliseum.
Important note: Some Albany State web pages currently display conflicting dates for individual Homecoming events, but the school’s official 2026 football schedule identifies the October 10 Lane game as Homecoming.

OCTOBER 11–17: Clark Atlanta University
The Panthers get their turn the following week.
Clark Atlanta University’s Homecoming Week runs October 11–17, with events including Welcome Home Wednesday, Friday Night Live, alumni activities, tailgating and the Homecoming game. CAU faces Allen University on Saturday, October 17.

OCTOBER 11–18: Savannah State University
Savannah State’s 2026 Homecoming celebration, dubbed “The S.H.O.W.,” runs October 11–18.
The week includes Yard Fest, a campus parade, alumni fish fry, stroll-off, pep rally and Homecoming concert. The big Saturday begins with the Homecoming Parade at 9:30 a.m., followed by Savannah State taking on Fort Valley State at 6 p.m. on October 17. The school says additional concert information is still to come.

OCTOBER 12–17: Georgia Southwestern State University
Georgia Southwestern in Americus celebrates Homecoming & Family Weekend October 12–17.
The university says its complete 2026 schedule is still coming.

OCTOBER 18–24: Fort Valley State University
Wildcat Country gets its turn October 18–24.
Fort Valley State has already announced a packed schedule including a gospel concert, cookout, Royal Coronation, Step Show, alumni party and Homecoming Parade.
The Wildcats host Lane College at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 24 at Wildcat Stadium.

OCTOBER 18–24: Valdosta State University
Valdosta State’s “A Royal Affair” Homecoming runs October 18–24.
Events include a comedy show, lip-sync competition, NPHC showcase and an October 22 pep rally and concert with musical guests still to be announced. Homecoming culminates with the parade, tailgating and football game on Saturday, October 24.

OCTOBER 22–24: Georgia Tech
The Yellow Jackets celebrate Homecoming Weekend October 22–24 in Midtown Atlanta.
Highlights include Buzz Bash, the Ramblin’ Wreck Parade, Helluva Block Party, alumni events and the Black Alumni Organization’s afterparty before Homecoming weekend wraps up on the Flats.

OCTOBER 16–24: University of West Georgia
Carrollton is going racing-themed for “West Georgia 500” Homecoming.
UWG’s celebration runs October 16–24, with a Homecoming Stroll-Off, Tailgate on the Hill and Wolf Walk among the scheduled events. The Homecoming football game kicks off at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 24 at University Stadium.

OCTOBER 30–31: Mercer University
Mercer welcomes generations of Bears back to Macon for Homecoming October 30–31.
The university has announced the dates, with additional details for the 2026 celebration still to come.

NOVEMBER 2–7: Georgia Southern University
Georgia Southern closes out this list with Homecoming Week November 2–7.
This year’s theme is “Built to SOAR,” with student events, alumni activities, the True Blue 5K and a Homecoming concert planned. The university says concert information is still coming.

NOVEMBER 2–7: Kennesaw State University
Kennesaw State also celebrates November 2–7, with a full week of Owl pride culminating Saturday.
The Owls will face Delaware at 3 p.m. at Fifth Third Stadium, with an alumni tailgate among the weekend festivities.

And for the Atlanta crowd, October 8–17 is basically the AUC’s two-week Homecoming takeover: Spelman and Morehouse lead off, followed immediately by Clark Atlanta.
