Auto NSider | 2022 Infiniti QX80 Sensory 4WD
Do You Fly First Class?
Yes…if you normally sit in the front of the plane, you’ll probably want something like Infiniti’s QX80 when you’re travelling a little closer to the ground.
And our test QX80 in “Sensory” trim will have you feeling right at home.
The QX80 is Infinity’s “Big Boy”…seating either 7 or 8 in soft, quilted semi-aniline heated and ventilated leather. You get three full rows…plenty of room for all…yet you can still fit the QX80 into the average garage…even a slightly messy garage.
You pretty much assume that power won’t be an issue in a vehicle like this, and the QX80 won’t disappoint you there…with 400 HP and 8,500 ft lbs of trailer-towing torque coming from its 5.6 liter V-8. And the 7-speed automatic helps the QX80 achieve an EPA rating of 13 city and 19 highway.
You’ll be rolling on big 22” alloys and you’ll be listening to 17-speaker premium Bose sound. Plus you’ll have a 12.3” screen and optional WiFi that can handle seven different people all on their own devices at the same time.
And our version had genuine 4-wheel drive with a 2-speed transfer case and trailer sway control.
As for that third row, you’ll have power up and down convenience….and if you need a little more room for the occasional long object, the second row easily tips up
But comfort and power are just where the QX80 story starts.
Infiniti’s “PROPILOT” will do all BUT drive for you…gently assisting you with acceleration, braking, lane-changing, distance control and driver attention alert.
Plus you’ll have Infiniti’s Hydraulic Motion Control…giving you a smooth yet controlled ride.
With 400 HP and 4WD, your QX80
