One of the metro Atlanta area's largest grocery store chains is closing 60 stores in the next 18 months.
Kroger currently operates in 76 cities across Georgia, and here in the metro area, 4 stores are set to close. The stores that are set to close are the Kroger Morosgo Way in Atlanta, Douglas Road in Alpharetta, Memorial Drive in Decatur and Buford Highway in Brookhaven.
Reports say that the closures are happening in an effort to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
Even though Kroger stores are closing, the grocery chain said it plans to offer roles at other stores to everyone affected by the closures.
