The Atlanta Braves have the best record in Major League Baseball, and it’s for a lot of different reasons, but one of the reasons is the great offensive and defensive play of Atlanta’s ultimate utility man Mauricio Dubón, and earlier today The Morning Shift explained why they think Dubón must continue to remain in the lineup and get everyday at-bats even when the Braves finally get to full strength.
“For the foreseeable future I would like to see Mauricio Dubón as part of this lineup, and it’s not even so much about the raw numbers, it's about how clutch he’s been.” Mike Johnson said
Mike finished his thought by saying “Now as guys start to get back healthy I want to make sure that we don’t lose the magic that has been the clutch hitting of Mauricio Dubón in the next couple weeks.”
With Ronald Acuña Jr. and Eli White both on the injured list right now it’s easy for the Braves to fit Dubón in the lineup, but whenever the Braves get fully healthy it’s going to be a lot tougher to get Dubón regular at-bats, and Braves Manager Walt Weiss and General Manager Alex Anthopoulos will have some tough roster decisions to make as well.
