Quality Control Music co-founder Pierre “P” Thomas has reportedly been hospitalized after suffering a heart attack.
According to TMZ, Thomas is currently receiving treatment at a Las Vegas hospital and is in the intensive care unit. Family members are reportedly with him as doctors determine next steps.
Thomas is one of the most influential figures in Atlanta’s modern hip-hop scene. He co-founded Quality Control Music with Kevin “Coach K” Lee in 2013, helping build the label into a major force in the music industry.
Over the years, Quality Control has played a major role in launching and developing the careers of artists including Migos, Lil Baby and City Girls.
The label’s success helped further cement Atlanta’s reputation as one of the most important cities in hip-hop and made Thomas a major behind-the-scenes figure in the culture.
No additional details about Thomas’ condition have been released at this time.
This is a developing story. V-103 will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
