The NAACP Image Awards 2024: Winners And Standouts

The 55th NAACP Image Awards aired live on March 16 via BET and CBS, and so many of your favorite actors, creators, creatives, and entertainers won big! The star-studded ceremony was hosted by Queen Latifah and featured a performance from Andra Day.

ATL's own Usher was honored with 2024 President’s Award, which recognizes figures for their special achievement and distinguished public service. When it comes to film and TV, "Abbott Elementary" was a big winner walking away with outstanding comedy series and a trophy for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy series for William Stanford Davis.

Other notable winners included "The Color Purple" which won 11 Image Awards, Ayo Edebiri for her role in "The Bear," Chloe Bailey for her role in 'Praise This," "Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story" for outstanding drama series, "Swarm" for outstanding limited series, "A Black Lady Sketch Show" for outstanding variety show and "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" for outstanding motion picture. American Fiction's Cord Jefferson took home the prize for outstanding writing in a motion picture just days after winning the best adapted screenplay at the Academy Awards.

When it comes to the music categories, New Edition was inducted into the Image Awards Hall Of Fame, Victoria Monét won outstanding new artist and Outstanding album for "Jaguar II" , and outstanding male artist went to Usher for his track "Good Good" with 21 Savage and Summer Walker. Usher also walked away with Entertainer of the Year Award.
