As temperatures to stay frigid warming centers and shelters are running out of supplies. Various shelters and warming centers are running low on items like underwear for women and men, socks and new and gently used coats and other winter weather items.
MUST Ministries in Cob County had 87 people in their shelter last night and the numbers are growing each day. The shelter has been open 32 nights so far this year and intends to stay open until Feb 9.
In addition to warm place to stay shelters like MUST Ministries also provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, winter weather clothing, in addition to Hope House’s normal assistance like jobs assistance and showers.
If you have some extra coats, under clothes or winter items to spare be sure to donate them to shelters and warming centers to help those in need.
