Alright Falcons Fans…Who Ya Got at #8?

Bijan Robinson now betting favorite at 8

Vegas seems to think they've got a pretty idea on who the Falcons are picking in first round of this Thursday's NFL Draft. Texas RB Bijan Robinson is now the betting favorite.

The Falcons find themselves in a position where a top level corner, lop level pass rusher, a top level interior offensive lineman, or the top running back on the board could be there for them at eight.

So, Falcons fans...if the board sets up the way its expected to, what's your choice out of OL Peter Skoronski, RB Bijan Robinson, CBs Christian Gonzalez and Devon Witherspoon, LB Nolan Smith, or DE Lukas Van Ness?

Steak and Drew broke down the pros and cons of selecting one of these players on this morning's Steakhouse. "I would probably go Bijan Robinson or Nolan Smith, because they would both be there at eight", Drew Butler told Steak. The top rated running back in the 2023 draft, Bijan was named the 2022 Doak Walker Award winner, as well an All-American. He rushed for 1,580 yards last season to go along with 18 touchdowns on the ground and another two in the air.

Nolan Smith has been one of the draft's fast risers (no pun intended) after a blazing 4.39 40 yard dash at the NFL combine. He missed the last half of this season for Georgia with a torn pectoral, but is seen as one of the draft's best prospects at outside linebacker.

Christian Gonzalez and Devon Witherspoon would fit nicely alongside AJ Terrell, especially after the news Friday the Falcons parted ways with CB Casey Hayward. Drew, however, thinks that both of these players would be gone before the Falcons got to eight. Peter Skoronski was an All-American LT at Northwestern, but will more than likely start his NFL career at guard. Lukas Van Ness had 13.5 sacks the last two years at Iowa, and this team could always use more pass rushers.

This begs the question - if you're sitting there at eight, and one of these top positional prospects is there for the picking, which direction are you going?
