Falcons must draft immediate impact players, can't settle for projects or building blocks

The Atlanta Falcons offseason activity is likely slowing down ahead of next weeks NFL draft as the front office assesses where the team is and what they need out of the draft.

Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael chat about the overall vision for the Falcons' draft and how the team's desire to win the NFC South THIS season could shape their plans in the early rounds.

"There's a lot that happened over the last couple of years. I'm happy with what they've done, but you've got to win this season," says Bunker. "You've chosen this QB you're roiling with. You have to win the division this year, so you got to get legitimate noticeable impact. I need guys that are going to come in and make this football team better Week 1."

McMichael believes Atlanta success in the early rounds is of the utmost importance.

"I look at the roster the way it is and I look at the draft. They need their first four picks to be starters," proclaims McMichael. "They are a better team on paper and on the grass than they were last year."

The Atlanta Falcons have one pick in each of the first three rounds followed by two picks in the fourth round.
