Shortly after noon on Monday the Atlanta Hawks announced they were relieving Landry Fields of his duties as general manager and promoting Onsi Saleh to that role.
The Hawks missed the playoffs for the second consecutive season, and while this year saw significant development across a young core despite injury to up-and-coming star Jalen Johnson, it also saw the Hawks go 0-2 in the play-in games and enter the offseason earlier than expected.
Newly promoted Hawks GM Onsi Saleh spent three years and won a title with the Warriors before joining the Hawks in 2024 and has also spent some time with the San Antonio Spurs.
