Atlanta United Centerback mainstay Miles Robinson has decided to leave the club in favor of an offer made by Eastern Conference rival FC Cincinnati. Robinson's contract ran out at the end of the last MLS season and an extension also didn't get agreed to. The team reportedly did offer him the maximum contract they were allowed to at his current player designation.

While Robinson had a disappointing 2023 season coming off an achilles injury that impacted his 2022 campaign and prevented him from playing for the US Men's National Team in the World Cup, he'd been a key cog in the defense ahead of Brad Guzan.

Miles Robinson will head to Cincinnati after 111 starts for Atlanta United, he was a member of the club that won the 2019 US Open Cup. Robinson was drafted 2nd by the club out of Syracuse in 2017.

FC Cincinnati won the Supports Shield last year, but they were bounced in the MLS playoffs by the eventually champions, the Columbus Crew, in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.
