Horrible West-Coast trip for Braves ends, but it's definitely not the end of the world

The Atlanta Braves are coming back from a West Coast road trip that did not go well. They dropped two out of three to the Seattle Mariners to start, then got swept by the Los Angeles Dodgers over the weekend. There's not really a whole lot more that can be taken from this road trip other than the fact that it really sucks to go to Chavez Ravine and get swept.

The Braves lost reliever Pierce Johnson to the IL with an elbow issue, but other that that, the team will come home to face the Red Sox relatively unscathed. There were some positives that came out of this series though.

Ronald Acuña Jr hit his second home run of the season on Friday, then had three hits on Saturday. Austin Riley hit a home run on Friday for his third of the year. Is this a sign that they may be coming out of their collective slumps?

Possibly.

What this team needs is a little home-cooking and nice weather, which is exactly what they will get this week, for two days. Then it's up to New York to face the team's all-time favorite punching bag: The New York Mets.

Chins up Braves Fans, nothing says slump-buster like three games at Citi Field. Andy Bunker and Randy McMichael discuss what was a horrible west-coast trip for the Braves, but definitely not the end of the world.
