The Atlanta Braves have been relatively quiet so far this offseason, a few fringe moves, but nothing like the splash signings that the NL East rivals Mets and Phillies have made.
92.9 The Game Atlanta Braves Insider Grant McAuley wonders when the Braves could respond by making a few significant moves on their own or even if they have to.
"The Braves are a club that won 101 games, they return a majority of that club, and should have better versions of Ronald Acuña Jr. and Ozzie Albies," explains McAuley. "This is a team that isn't losing ground, the Braves are a very good ball club. I don't think the Braves are done, they continue to do it in their methodical fashion."
Another aspect for why the Braves don't need to spend like their competitors is the optimism about Mike Soroka rejoining the rotation as a piece that could give them the best rotation in baseball if he can return and resemble anything close to his previous form.
