The injury bug continues to plague the Atlanta Braves as it was announced Monday that starter Reynaldo Lopez will be placed on the 15-day IL with right forearm inflammation. The move is retroactive to August 2nd after Lopez failed to throw a bullpen session after being removed from his start eight days earlier.

Bryce Elder has been recalled as the corresponding move and will start Tuesday vs the Brewers. The loss of Lopez comes on the heels of Max Fried making his return after his own IL stint. Fried struggled to find his command and surrendered five earned runs.

The team is still awaiting the return of centerfielder Michael Harris after making moves to bring back Jorge Soler and Eddie Rosario to help fill the void. As for Spencer Strider and Ronald Acuna Jr., they will not be back with the team until next season.
