Florida State Seminole Alum, two-time Super Bowl Champion with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and now CBS Sports Analyst, Bryant McFadden, surprised The Morning Shift crew and called into the show earlier today. B-Mac told them Arthur Smith’s coaching ability plus a talented roster will equal an NFC South title and postseason berth for the Falcons this season.
“Think about the talent, or the lack thereof, the Falcons had on their roster, and they still was competitive, they were competing. That’s a bright sign because this year I would say we would all agree they had some improvements in regards to the talent, especially if you’re looking at a year ago, so me personally Arthur Smith has done a real good job. McFadden said.
Bryant finished his thought by saying “I think this is the year where he really turns the corner, and everybody in the football world will take notice. I really think so, I think the Falcons should win the division, in my opinion.”
McFadden’s belief in Arthur Smith and what Atlanta is building, and has built thus far, just goes to show that the national narrative around the Falcons is starting to change. Former players and now national analysts such as Bryant McFadden, Dan Orlovsky, and Jason McCourtey, and others have already expressed their belief in the Atlanta Falcons this offseason, and that list will only continue to grow as the Falcons hopefully win games this season.
