The Atlanta Falcons had been looking for help along the defensive line since the start of free agency, already adding David Onyemata from the Saints. They continued to add when they inked DL Calais Campbell to a 1-year deal.
Campbell was officially introduced to the Atlanta media on Monday and he also joined Andy Bunker and Joe Patrick and explained his decision to join Atlanta and what stuck out to him about the Falcons.
"Once I started doing my research, a deep dive into the team, I realized this team is destined for greatness and I want to be a part of it," says Campbell. "Ryan Nielsen is a young up-and-coming defensive coordinator that has a brilliant game plan. We had a really good conversation, and he made me a believer."
Campbell also described his expected role this season, how he'll be used, and how often.
