With the departure of Julio Jones the Atlanta Falcons find themselves relying on guys to step into new roles this season as Calvin Ridley will slide into the No. 1 receiver spot. Dukes & Bell talked about the receiving corps and can Russell Gage step into the No. 2 spot?
Mike said he thinks Gage can produce as the second option at receiver on this team.
“Yeah, I like the attitude, and look the production was there. I mean anything over 65-70 catches,” Bell said. “Because last year with Julio, and we’re not trying to compare Gage to Julio, but he’s certainly shown the ability.
"As much as I bang on [Thomas] Dimitroff for things like Deadrin Senat, he was always really good with the skill positions and Russell Gage is a late-round pick that’s contributed.”

Carl talked about how he’s not worried about the receiving corps at all.
“I think he’s going to be fine stepping into those shoes. Calvin Ridley’s going to be fine, you hear Hayden Hurst came into camp just in great shape, the expectations for Pitts,” Dukes said. “Again I’m not worried about the wide receiving corps or that room as I like to say. I walk past that door I say, we’re OK there.”
