Can Braves slug their way to a championship?

It's been a miraculous season for the Atlanta Braves. Ronald Acuña Jr. is on the precipice of a 40-70 season, a feat that no one has ever done before (so was 30-60). Matt Olson broke Andruw Jones' Braves single-season home run record. As a team, they have set the franchise record for home runs in a season and that number is still climbing. And it hasn't all been offense. Spencer Strider is two strikeouts away from the Braves single-season record and is a Cy Young Award candidate. It's definitely been a fun season, but it has to culminate with the Braves winning the World Series or all of the records become a moot point.

Now the Braves have injuries cropping up in their pitching staff.

Max Fried is dealing with a blister on a finger that will sideline him for the rest of the regular season. Charlie Morton now has a strained finger that will keep him out of the NLDS, which is the first playoff series that the Braves will play. It's not like the Braves haven't dealt with adversity this season.

Both Fried and Kyle Wright just recently joined the team after recovering from injury, as well as Jesse Chavez. Adversity aside, it seems like the most "logical" way to a Braves championship will be through their offense, but can it hold up for another month?

Sandra Golden and John Fricke discuss the Braves chances of making a serious championship run on the back of their offense.
