Candidate for Georgia Governor Stacey Abrams says she's bringing a whole lot more friends for her second run at the seat.
Abrams tells Audacy Atlanta's Big Tigger Morning show that while there was record voter turnout in 2018 when she previously ran for governor, there are nearly 1.3 million additional new registered voters now.
The Democrat says she's running for governor because "if we want to see transformation in our communities we've got to elect governors who believe in our communities." Abrams says she is that person.
Along with Abrams there are 3 other announced gubernatorial candidates. Republicans candidates Incumbent Brian Kemp, former U.S. Senator David Perdue, and former Georgia State Representative Vernon Jones will be on the ballot for the primary election in May 2022. The general election will be held the following November.
