The Atlanta Falcons are trading former first-round pick Calvin Ridley to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for conditional picks in 2023 and 2024 that could max out as a fifth and second-rounder, respectively. Ridley is still suspended for the 2022 season after it was found that he was gambling on NFL games while sitting out in 2021.

The now-former Falcon enjoyed a successful career in Atlanta when he was on the field. In 49 career games, Ridley hauled in 248 receptions for 3,342 yards and 28 touchdowns.

Current Falcons players did not seem too excited about the announced trade and many took to social media to voice their displeasure.

This tweet coming from Falcons' running back Cordarrelle Patterson, who just days ago was seen wearing a "Free Calvin Ridley" t-shirt on the sidelines of Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers.

Now, Calvin Ridley is a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars and will be eligible for reinstatement on February 15, 2023.
