There is still no new collective bargaining agreement between MLB and the MLBPA delaying the start of Spring Training and potentially the start of the 2022 season.
Despite being in a lockout since Dec. 2, MLB and the MLB Player's Association have agreed on the universal designated hitter starting in 2022.
Bally Sports South Atlanta Braves analyst Paul Byrd joined the Midday Show to discuss who he thinks will fit that role perfectly for the club this season.
"Now Ronald Acuna, I may not want him playing right field or center field. I can put him in the DH role. He's only got one gear. He only knows how to play the game one way so him running around in center field, right field; I don't want that day after day after day coming back with his knee this year."
Acuna suffered a torn ACL that ended his season just before the All-Star break in July.
