Despite standings, Hawks aren't scoreboard watching, 8th seed still in sight

The Hawks fell back into the 9th seed last night after a loss to Toronto while Brooklyn beat the Houston Rockets, and despite being in a very tight race to steal the #8 seed, Hawks GM Travis Schlenk knows if the team handles their own business that's exactly where they will end up.

Due to Cleveland and Brooklyn meeting in the final game of the season and one of them guaranteed a loss combined with the Hawks holding a tiebreaker over the Cavaliers, if the Hawks go 3-0, they would end up as the #8 seed.

The Hawks take on the Washington Wizards tonight in their final home game of the regular season.
