Eminem, Travis Scott among rappers to collaborate for B/R remixed NBA jerseys

nba

Let's get the bad news out of the way first. I can't sugarcoat the fact that a whole lot of these jerseys are sold out... they flew off the shelves fast. And there's also no getting around the fact that if you're a fan of a team like the Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets and a handful of others, there aren't any remixed jerseys for you — at least not this year.

But now for the good news: Bleacher Report has once again collaborated with a bunch of rappers and Mitchell & Ness to sell remixed jerseys of your favorite NBA teams with unique, authentic and sometimes, shall we say, interesting spins of the threads you're used to seeing.

For Pistons fans, who don't have all that much to be excited about this season outside of Cade Cunningham and the occasional skirmish with LeBron James, it must have been a treat to see legendary rapper Eminem do his thing on the Pistons jerseys of old.

For Heat fans who are hoping for a second Finals appearance in three seasons, DJ Khaled's "Another 1" redesign serves as a nice little homage to both the Heat's success and the DJ's signature saying. Cleveland native Kid Cudi puts his own spin on the Cavs jerseys, featuring the skyline and a slick arrangement of the team name and number. The Bulls jerseys were remixed by Juice WRLD before his tragic 2019 death. And there's a whole slew of other options, though as mentioned before, a good handful are sold out.

Here's the whole list of NBA team and rapper/record label collaborations:
Atlanta Hawks: Outkast and Future
Brooklyn Nets: Joey BadA$$
Charlotte Hornets: Dreamville
Chicago Bulls: Juice WRLD
Cleveland Cavaliers: Kid Cudi
Detroit Pistons: Eminem and Big Sean
Golden State Warriors: E-40
Houston Rockets: Travis Scott
Los Angeles Lakers: Schoolboy Q
Miami Heat: Denzel Curry and DJ Khaled
New York Knicks: A$AP Ferg and The Diplomats
New Orleans Pelicans: No Limit
Portland Trail Blazers: Aminé
Utah Jazz: Young Money
Washington Wizards: Wale

"Bleacher Report lives at the intersection of sports and culture. The NBA Remix Collection is probably the best physical representation of this mission," BR's chief marketing officer Ed Romaine said in 2020 (via Billboard). "It fuses hip hop music and basketball at the local level with innovative designs that will drive conversation amongst a community of fans who are the new vanguard of style."

If you still hurry, you might be able to grab one. If not, maybe some more will come out before the holiday season is all over. And in the worst-case scenario, there's always next year, where they should run this showcase all over again.
