Falcons' biggest question mark heading into Week 1

The Atlanta Falcons have plenty to feel good about, they have an offense with play makers that surround what looks to be their next franchise quarterback in Michael Penix Jr, and they also revamped their pass rush and secondary with quality veterans and what seem to be promising rookies.

However, just like any time the Falcons have their fair share of question marks, and earlier today The Morning Shift told you what they think is Atlanta’s biggest question mark heading into Sunday’s regular season opener.

“Until I see the Falcons stop the run I’m going to be terrified about our ability to stop the run, just point blank.” Mike Johnson said.

Mike finished his thought by saying “That’s the one spot, the interior of this defense right there in the middle that I’m like man I don’t know what the game plan is, I really really don’t. I’ll be curious to see what it is.”

Towards the end of last season the Tampa Bay Buccaneers developed a solid running game with Bucky Irving and Rachaad White, and with the Bucs going to be without wide receivers Chris Godwin and Jalen McMillan, and possibly even tight end Cade Otton Tampa Bay may elect to run the ball a little more frequently, so Atlanta’s run defense will be put to the test early.
