There are a ton of new faces in Atlanta heading into training camp, including in the coaching room. One of the biggest acquisitions for the Falcons was bringing in Jerry Gray to be the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator.

While reacting to Gray's comments on the "Jon Chuckery Show", Jon Chuckery went on to praise Gray saying, "Whatever Jerry Gray says is gospel in my book."

Gray brings 26 years of NFL coaching experience to the Falcons' coaching room. As Arthur Smith put it, "He brings a wealth of knowledge."

The player turned coach has a track record of getting the most out of his defenses, specifically the secondary. Gray has worked with defensive backs for 16 of his 26 years. He has coached a player to a Pro Bowl season in ten of those seasons.

With a young secondary that is littered with talent. Jessie Bates and AJ Terrell headline the group, but players like Jeff Okudah, Mike Hughes, and even rookie Clark Phillips III, all have potential to make impact plays at any given time.

As Gray's track-record suggests, the Falcons can look forward to having a Top 10 passing defense in the league, if not the best, and Pro-Bowl seasons from at least one of the members of this secondary.
