Kyle Pitts' future in Atlanta has been a hot topic of conversation as the NFL offseason unfolds. Pitts has yet to replicate his 1,000 yard rookie campaign and is due $10 million this season after having his fifth-year option picked up. The question becomes if the team would explore trading him before next season begins?
Fontenot said on 92.9 The Game that "the expectation is for him to be the very best version of himself that he can be and make sure he's attacking this offseason the right way. For us we have to make sure everyone in the building is doing the most we can to get the most from him. So that's our plan with Kyle moving forward."
Pitts will have the ability to showcase his talents this season with Michael Penix Jr. having a full 18 weeks to get him the ball. If Pitts can replicate his rookie stats the Falcons will have a tough decision next offseason to bet on his future and pay him when they have numerous other holes to fill.
