The Atlanta Falcons squandered a great opportunity to really take control of the NFC South yesterday. A lot of Falcons fans have blamed Arthur Smith and Desmond Ridder for all the Falcons losses this season with yesterday’s loss being no different. Earlier today The Morning Shift explained why the Falcons suffered a ‘3 phase loss’ yesterday.
Were a couple of Arthur Smith’s play calls questionable, yes. Did Desmond Ridder make some mistakes, including missing a wide open Bijan Robinson in the red zone, yes. However, Younghoe Koo also missed two field goals, and Kyle Pitts and Van Jefferson missed blocks that led to the Carlton Davis interception. This loss is on the entire team, not just Desmond Ridder and Arthur Smith.
