Falcons' different first-round options depend on if, and how far Atlanta wants to move back

Chris Goforth and Harry Douglas were joined by former Buffalo Bills GM Doug Whaley, and Whaley discussed several scenarios for the Atlanta Falcons in the first round of the NFL draft.

Whaley said if the Falcons were not completely in love with quarterbacks Justin Fields or Trey Lance, the Falcons could trade down and pick another player.

Who that player could be depends on how far the Falcons traded down in the first round.

If the Falcons trade just a couple of spots down, Whaley said Kyle Pitts would make the most sense and compared the Florida tight end to former Falcons tight end Tony Gonzalez.

Trading down into the teens could see Terry Fontenot taking versatile Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons, or grabing a corner such Alabama cornerback Patrick Surtain II.
