The Atlanta Falcons have made a concerted effort to bolster the secondary and offensive line to this point in the NFL Draft. In the fifth round, they opted to provide reinforcements on the defensive line and they got it when they selected Ta'Quon Graham out of Texas with the 148th pick.
The defensive tackle was an honorable mention All-Big 12 mention after starting all nine games for the Longhorns in 2020 with 7.0 tackles for a loss and 2 sacks.
Graham is very athletic for his size, 6'3 and 290 pounds, but he's not particularly adept at rushing the passer. He hasn't shown much consistency and he's rather raw, but Graham's strength and athleticism give him a chance to contribute right away in a reserve role.
Graham is the first pick that addresses the defense outside of the secondary, but I doubt he will be the last.
