As the Atlanta Falcons continue their offseason, earlier today The Morning Shift made a checklist of things the Falcons need to accomplish before next season begins, one of those things was getting another wide receiver to pair with Drake London, and The Morning Shift crew explained why Atlanta needs to draft an Amon-Ra St. Brown type of WR with their 2nd round pick this year to pair with Drake.

“I want a poor man’s Amon-Ra St. Brown to come here. I don’t need the [Jameson] Williams from Detroit. I want the guy who can catch a ball out in the flat, make a cornerback miss, and gain 8, 10, 12 yards, get out of bounds, whatever else you want it to be. I want us to find that guy man, that’s where I’m leaning in the draft. There’s only to me two positions you’re going with in the second round this year, that would be interior defensive line and wide receiver, and so I look at this, and I look at the depth at the wide receiver position in this draft and it looks like to me that would be a pretty good direction to go.” Mike Johnson said

Mike wants the Falcons to draft a receiver with “small space burst”, and pairing that type of receiver with a receiver in London who is a possession receiver that has a big catch radius and is an elite 50/50 ball winner sounds like the perfect pairing and the type of WR Atlanta needs to open things up for Drake and the entire Falcons offense.
