The Atlanta Falcons are on a short week coming off Sunday’s 37-9 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, preparing for Thursday’s NFC South showdown with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and have just a few days to address their continued special teams’ issues, which were once again pivotal on Sunday after they surrender a touchdown on the opening kickoff of the third quarter.
“You have to go find ways to get the win no matter what so whoever can go out there and help you get it done, we’ll do that,” Falcons head coach, Raheem Morris, said on Tuesday as he joined 92-9 The Game’s Mike Bell and Mike Johnson and explained the Falcons are willing to call on any player, whether they are a starter or not, to help correct their problems.
“You have to get the guys out there that can make the plays,” Morris said noting several players from starters like Jalen Walker to Xavier Watts, to multiple player who have been elevated from the practice squad, have been inserted into special teams as the team has attempted to address some of the problems they have had with the special teams unit.
