The Atlanta Braves couldn’t have started their 13 game stretch where they face nothing but division opponents any better, and earlier today our very own Braves’ insider and reporter Grant McAuley joined The Morning Shift and explained why getting this sweep against the New York Mets was "crucial" to the Braves finding a way to turn their season around.
“When you started looking at the standings you just kind of wondered if the Braves don’t do what they need to do against the Mets I mean they’re gonna be buried right, and that would’ve been I think the outcome, but New York came in on a losing streak, like a couple of other teams that have visited Truist Park in the last month, and instead of getting right, the Braves extended that losing streak, they did so with some great pitching, they did so with the timely hitting, I think everybody kind of played a part, and that was exactly what you needed to see from this team” Grant McAuley said
It feels like for the first time all season the Braves are clicking on all cylinders, and now it’s just a question of can the Braves continue to play that way or will they go back to being consistently inconsistent.
